On Purpose Networking for Women is an organization that grew out of my business, Live Your Life On Purpose. I founded this group in March, 2000 and we currently meet in Anne Arundel County, Baltimore County, Howard County and Frederick County. There are plans to expand to Harford and Carroll Counties in 2006.

With over 200 members and between 20 and 70 women attending each meeting (depending on the location) On Purpose Networking is a strong organization that strives to fill the needs of its members and guests while also doing work in the world that I think is so important.

The philosophy of On Purpose Networking for Women is one of abundance. There is more than enough for everyone and if we help other people create their dreams and successes it naturally flows back to us. It is one of authenticity. We provide a place for women to come and be real, be heard, promote themselves, and participate in a way that feels right for them. There is no dress code. If you work in an office and wear a suit… you’re welcome to wear that to a meeting. If you feel more comfortable in a cotton dress or jeans or shorts… that’s okay too. The women of On Purpose Networking reach out to support and encourage one another to be our absolute best… whatever that may mean to us.

What type of women attend On Purpose Networking meetings? I get asked this a lot and the answer I usually give is “cool women.” Now you, being the cool woman you are, know exactly what I mean. Women who are drawn to On Purpose Networking are there more because of who they are than what they do. It is an attitude about life. It is a way of being in the world. So whether you are an entrepreneur or entrepreneur wanna-be, have a career in the corporate sector, work for a government agency, own a large company, are looking for employment, are in transition, are a stay at home Mom looking for some time away or are retired and looking for the same… come and see if On Purpose Networking might have something for you.
