Riding the Waves of Change
Out of all the things that go on in our daily lives, the concept of change throws us off balance the most. Cara Michele Nether describes change as any thing, person, or event that is different than we expected them to be. In order to draw abundance and what we want into our lives, we must be open to change. Change can be a painful lesson and a challenge. We can easily succumb to the worry that "if things are not the same then I must have done something wrong" and "if things are not the same, will I still fit in?" As a practitioner who blends and utilizes ancient wisdoms in conjunction with present situations, she believes that the ability to ride the waves of change with a sense of confidence and flexibility is essential to the creation of a life full of joy, purpose and ease.
Cara Michele Nether is a wellness educator and the founder of Women in Wellness. Women in Wellness is an oriental medicine based practice that focuses on helping women see their strength, potential, and higher calling as a way of creating ease and wellness in life. By moving energy with acupuncture, healthy nutritional choices, and lifestyle practices, Cara Michele assists her clients as they create a life that is truly of service for themselves and others. She is a faculty member at Tai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts and a registered trainer for the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association. She has had the pleasure of training acupuncturists, licensed substance abuse professionals, and consulting with programs throughout Maryland on the use of acupuncture for treatment of addictions. As a wellness educator, Cara Michele has developed workshops discussing women's health and wellness; how Eastern and Western medicines complement one another; the conscious cultivation of personal power; and the skills needed to navigate life's changes. Her specialty is developing personal empowerment in young girls. Visit her website at www.cmnether.com.

4 Ways to Silence Your Inner Critic
We all have one - that annoying, nagging voice in our head that likes to constantly tell us what we aren't good at, can't do, what we did wrong, or what we should be doing. Where does this voice get the information from anyway? Is the information even reliable or true? And better yet, how do we shut this voice off, put a muzzle on it, or flick it off our shoulder? Join Suzette in an entertaining and interactive presentation to learn about where our inner critic gets it's information and how to quiet your inner critic so you can achieve your peak performance and reach your wildest dreams.
Suzette Langley, MSW, CPC (Certified Professional Coach), also known as the human behavior and people skills specialist, works with clients to tap into their natural strengths and abilities and develop new strengths to reach their peak performance. Developing and using strengths are key to managing stress and time, maintaining life balance, and creating a healthy lifestyle. As a corporate trainer, Suzette uses the Peoplemap, a short, user-friendly assessment tool, to identify personality type strengths to improve communication which leads to increased productivity, employee retention, and stronger, more cohesive teams. In addition to being a coach, Suzette is also a runner, baker, explorer, mom to two fluffy American Eskimos, and wife to the most patient man in the world. Journaling Tools for Business: Let's Get Write to Work!
Do you think journaling is mostly for writers and other "creative types"? Do you think of
a journal as a place to record daily events and explore your inner life? Think again! You don't have to be a writer to journal - and you don't have to use a journal as a personal diary. In fact, with the right tools, you can use your journal as your own personal business coach, available anytime and anywhere.
Journaling is one of the most powerful and readily accessible ways to harness your creative energy and help your business thrive. Whether you need to plan a presentation, work through a challenging situation with a client or colleague, or generate new ideas for your market, the journal offers a variety of easy, enjoyable tools to help you accomplish all of those goals, and more.
Come join Dana Knighten for an interactive, experiential evening in which you'll learn how journaling tools can help you get "write to work"! Dana is the owner and director of InWord Journeys, where she facilitates journaling workshops and retreats and designs customized programs tailored to meet specific interests and needs. She conducts onsite programs for clients as well as journaling retreats in her cabin on the Susquehanna River inLancaster County, Pennsylvania. Before launching InWord Journeys, she spent more than 20 years as a healthcare publishing professional with major publishers including Elsevier and Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. During her tenure there as a senior product developer and innovator, she won three innovation awards and two book-of-the-year awards.
Trained as a facilitator by the Center for Journal Therapy in Denver, Colorado, Dana is a Certified Instructor of the Journal to the Self® workshop, a 12-hour course on how to keep a journal for personal growth, creative expression, and life enrichment. She is currently in a two-year Certified Journal Facilitator training program with Kathleen Adams of the Center for Journal Therapy, the originator of the Journal to the Self® workshop and one of the top three theorists in her field.
A dedicated journal writer herself since her 20s, Dana is an avid reader, writer, artist, and poet. She has served as an assisting author on college textbooks, published poems in The Harford Poet, and was an award recipient in the 2001 National League of American Pen Women's annual Soulmaking Literary Competition, in which she was invited to read from her award-winning creative nonfiction essay in a televised broadcast of the San Franciscoawards ceremony. She has been a frequent reader on the coffeehouse open-mic scene inHarford County and was invited to do a solo reading as a featured artist for the Harford Poetry Society.
Dana lives in Norrisville, Maryland, with her husband and nine-year-old daughter, four cats, one cockateil, and five goldfish.
